Crowell, Texas Speed Traps

If you are traveling on US 70 and are approaching Crowell from the west, watch your speed! The speed limit signs are easy to see, but they’re pretty close together and it’s easy to cruise across the city limit in excess of the posted limit. The road makes a slight curve at the city limit. It’s just enough to shield the city PD patrol car from direct view. They won’t lie about your speed and they do give you a couple of MPH leeway, but they are not hesitant about giving you a payable reminder to slow it down.
