Cypress, Texas Speed Traps

Heading south just after you cross over the bridge the police are waiting in the median around the corner… Always impossible to see them until it’s too late. Speed is 30mph, and it’s a 4-lane road.

On Queenslake Road btw Skinner and Cypress/Rosehill there is a Constable in a white Chevy Tahoe that sits in a driveway and you can’t see him until it’s too late. The speed limit is 30mph and everyone know’s how hard it is to go 30mph. Be careful he’s there every day!

When they say 35 mph on this Jersey Village section of Jones Rd, they mean it. The Jersey Village Police keep a close watch and stop motorists often. You have to slow down on Jones from 45 mph outside of Jersey Village or from much higher speeds when exiting 290.

This trap is in operation nearly every weekday during PM rush hour. Sometimes it’s Northbound, sometimes it’s for Southbound traffic.

Sheriff’s officers issue citations non-stop as this is a high traffic area in which commuters drive 70-75mph in a 55mph zone on a regular basis.
