Decatur, Texas Speed Traps

There is construction down FM 2264 but it’s 6-7 miles down 2264, yet they have reduced the speed limit from 65 to 45 even though construction is in New Fairview and not in Decatur and cops are camp on people drives way waiting.

DPS units are hiding in between trees off side roads now using LASER.

Cops sit on shoulder with lights flashing day & night. You must slow 20 mph below speed limit OR move to left lane or they’ll give you a ticket. First I’ve heard of this. Cop laughed when I argued the ticket, what a guy! Protect & serve?

The Pct 1 Constable runs alot of radar in the construction zone. He has nothing else to do. Its 60 mph. He stops everyone for anything. Avoid this area or do 55 mph. He gets alot of complaints from citizens. He drives a black and white Crown Victoria. The cops in the area think he is too gun ho!!

Going either east or west on 380 in the construction zone…speed is 60 Mph and they sit right under the bridge by the pillar. You don’t see them until you are on top of them.
