Diboll, Texas Speed Traps
US/State Hwy 59 and Lumberjack Road.
Red light Camera. Speed limit in intersection listed as 45mph, but caution light is only 3 seconds or less by manual count. Impossible to stop 60 ft gooseneck/F-350 truck totaling 10 tons if less than 60 feet from the “line”. Professional truckers also state impossibilities of maintaining control and stopping 40 tons of semi-load within rig’s total length at 45mph speed limit. Texas law enforcement, state attorney general are complicit in this money-gathering scam. Diboll has existed for years on speeding tickets, perhaps these cameras are the new “norm” of win-win economics without need to conduct chase-downs/pullovers.
hwy 59 & Lumberjack rd
Red light camera at the intersection. Speed limit is 45 mph, but drops to 35 right after intersection. If you speed up any on yellow light you will be nailed for speeding. I go through here often and do not stop for any reason. Food, gas, etc
Cameras at red light
the traffic lights in Diboll have cameas install.
US Highway 59
The police hide behind a business and then just pick a late model non-local car to stop and issue a ticket to.
US Highway 59
Hwy 59 runs right through this small town so make sure you pay attention to the speed limit signs, especially when they drop. As many times as I have traveled through this town (no matter what time of day) you can count on a police officer (sometimes more than 1) waiting to catch someone speeding.
