Frisco, Texas Speed Traps
Warren Parkway near Legacy Drive
Every once and awhile a Frisco cop will wait in the parking lot of the men’s clinic across from the hospital. The cop usually is nice enough to park between the trees but he still could radar someone almost all the way to Dallas Parkway.
Main Street near US Highway Preston
This a revenue boosting trap — nothing more. 6-12 cops sit on motorcycles in a parking lot and another cop shoots cars with radar and they hand out tickets willy nilly. Usually toward the end of the month. You run the risk of getting a ticket even if you are not speeding! And to defend yourself will put you out $800!
Dallas Parkway near Main Street
Dallas North Parkway North of Stonebrook heading north speed changes suddenly from 50 mph to 40 mph, although the 50 mph area is obviously much more populated and has much more traffic. Frisco police park in small crossroads east of the parkway around Cottin Gin Rd., just before Main St.
Dallas North Tollway Road near FM 720
On the Dallas North Tollway, between main street and Stonebridge Road, there is a cross street that the Frisco police like to sit and wait behind the trees as cars go south on the tollway. I have seen police cars and police motercycles waiting there with radar guns
FM 423 near Bridge past the fina
Just as you pass the bridge there is a hill even with the indoor soccer field… the speed limit is 55mph. They sit just on the other side of that hill that the soccerfield building is on… they usually catch people going 70…Beware, they are there mostly at night and early in the morning.
