Georgetown, Texas Speed Traps
Williams Drive
There is now always a police officer with a radar gun at night sitting over by serenada Dr. at that car wash!
East Hwy 29 at FM 1660 in Jonah
Speed signs go from 60mph to 50mph. Traveling this road everyday, making this route 2 to 3 times a day i will usually see at least 3 cars ticketed every week.
On DB Woods Rd just north of 29
There is a 45 mph zone in the section of DB Woods Rd that starts from the intersection with 29 and ends at Oak Ridge Road where the 55 mph zone starts. It’s a pretty consistent speed trap patrolled by 2 motorcycle policemen.
Andice Exit Going North Off Interstate 35
There is a very long exit here and folks tend to get in your way even if you are driving the limit. I was trapped between a truck w/trailer hauling brush and trash (open bed) and concerned about something flying out so weaved in between to avoid an accident and get around him. Lo and behold, I get pulled over by a motorcycle cop & ticketed mainly for the weaving (& speeding to do so). I don’t care how nice the cop is/was it’s still time and $ out of my pocket to do defensive driving when that is Exactly what I was trying to do!
N I- 35 & Co Rd 306
IH35 s bound just as you past the small town of jarrel, there’s a post office on your right. DPS sits in the dark tree line on the right shoulder and hammers people all night..Sometimes see them in the morning on weekends
