Harlingen, Texas Speed Traps
Primera Road
Speed changes rapidly from 35 mph to 45 mph and the cop they got patrolling giving tickets is from Primera not Harlingen.
Entering Harlingen city limits eastbound on US83
There are cops either pulled over or driving with traffic. If they think you’re going over 5 mph they’ll pull you over. Got a ticket 2 years ago on Good Friday! Couldn’t believe I got a ticket for going (supposedly) 65 or 70 on a 60 mph. Really? Do these cops even have lives??? It’s ridiculous to even have the speed limit at 60, let alone stop someone going 5 mph over.
The parking Lot of Lowe’s Home Improvement
The Patrol car sits in the Parking Lot waiting for cars going South on Camelot Drive across the Street from Camelot Senior Housing. Speed Limit is 30MPH
Westbound Harrison Ave. under U.S. Hightways 77/83
There is a camera on the second light that is hidden by the bridge. The traffic light cannot be seen until you are within 40′ of the light. The camera is really busy at this location.
New Hampshire Street near 83 Expressway
Harlingen Police will park in parking lot by the girls softball fields and shoot radar on cars heading south on NewHampshire toward expressway. There is a blind turn that as soon as you come out of the cop has got you if your speeding.
