Hawkins, Texas Speed Traps

The speed limit is 30 mph and remains so well out of the city. A 45 mph sign can be seen for a long distance, so the police wait for people to increase their speed after they have seen the sign, but before they reach it.

The speed limit in this town goes from 60-45-30 all in less then 6 miles. If you do not know this, you will be paying a very heavy fine. It was several months ago but I do believe it was around $150.
