Itasca, Texas Speed Traps
Hwy 81 coming into town and leaving town from Hillsboro.
When coming into town the speed is 55MPH for a bit then it drops to 45 then 30. If you are even going 35 mph in the 30 mph zone, while slowing down, you’ll get pulled over. Also, going out of town on 81 the speed is 55 then goes to 70. Do NOT get anywhere over 55 til you get to the 70 MPH sign or you will get a ticket. Not even going to 60, you will get a ticket! Crazy… I was told the 70 MPH does not start until I get right to the sign! Didn’t know that. Thought driving was a fluid movement.

City cop patrolling the Interstate as a fund raiser. They offer deffered Judification for an extra $50.00 Usually sets on the back side of on-ramps so that he can’t been seen until you pass by him.
Interstate 35W near FM 934
The local Itasca police patrol the section of I-35W within their jurisdiction. They can be frequently seen issueing tickets. I recommend heeding the 65 mph speed limit in that area.
US Highway 35 W near Mile Marker 7 & 8
Hide in the median just under the overpasses.
Interstate 35 near Exit Number 15
Watch for officers at Exit 15. Also, watch out at night as the officer that pulled me over DID NOT HAVE HIS lights on. He came out of nowhere at about 11:15 P.M. Also, they wait on the other side of the bridges out of sight until you pass the bridge. I travel from Waco to Fort Worth every week and there has only been two times that Itasca and/or DPS haven’t been radaring. Luckily my detector gets them way ahead of time.
