Jourdanton, Texas Speed Traps

Police and Highway Patrol roam Hwy 16 to central intersection and adjoining highways, spinning around to ticket anyone doing more than 35 mph.

In the City of Jourdanton by City Police on SH16 from SH97 North to SH173.

Jourdanton PD like to run radar on Hwy 16 anywhere in their area of town especially north end of town from the Dairy Queen to the yellow flashing light at JCT Hwy 173 (road that goes to Devine). Speed limit is 35 at Dairy Queen and rises to 45 and then 50 as you go north. Keep your eyes open for the local PD. Don’t speed. Never been caught here–but seen plenty of others not so lucky.

Pleasanton and Jourdanton Police, Sheriffs, DPS patrol this area pretty much anytime of the day or night with radar. Speed limits change frequently. Hwy 16 speed is 35 mph by the Dairy Queen. The police are picky about speeders, so don’t speed in this area.
