Keller, Texas Speed Traps
200 Block N Tarrant Pkwy
Poorly marked school zone. Block has 40mph sign placed AFTER 20 mph school zone sign. Radar operated by unmarked black SUV which is parked on side street.
Heritage Trace Parkway between Old Denton & North Beach
After crossing Old Denton Rd heading east, speed limit drops to 35. Be EXTREMELY careful through the school zone which begins at the top of the hill. Anybody who enters Heritage Trace Pkwy from one of the neighborhood side streets might not realize this is a school zone. Police are at the bottom of the hill, at General Worth Road.
Heritage Trace Pkwy, in its entirety, is a 35 mph speed trap cash cow. Be careful near the main entrance to The Bluffs, and approaching Moncrief Street.
Heritage Trace and Moncrief/Van Zandt
Officers hide in the shade of the trees lining Heritrage Trace and then have other officers waiting on motorcycles. They run out into the street to direct you to pull down Moncrief to ticket you. There are no warnings, they clog our neighborhood streets and honestly it seems very unsafe. Their motorcycles parked on one side of Moncrief, large vehicles that they pull over on the other side of the street. Not safe at all for the cycles, officers ticketing or other drivers on the road. The speed limit is 35 mph on Heritage Trace. Watch your speed always – or plan on being ticketed.
Dove Road between Pearson Lane & JT Ottinger Rd.
They sit in the entrance to a small subdivision between JT Ottinger and Pearson…between the Tuscany-looking home on the hill and the Fire Dept. just after the creek–mostly cruisers, but on rare occasion, motocycles. They tuck back behind the tree line and you can’t see them until you are right up on them.
Highway 114 (W NW Pkwy)
West bound 114, a police motorcycle/car will sit on the bridge behind the railing going over Dove Rd. catching drivers on 114 west bound. It makes me sick!
