Kerrville, Texas Speed Traps
Hwy 27 around Schriener Air field
Between Kerrville and Center Point is what everyone calls Mooney Airport, (Schriener Air Field) Sherriffs sit around the curve where traffic is slowing from 70 to 55 mph. Sometimes backed into the road for Mooney employees. Sometimes on a vacant field entry on the opposite side but still behind the curve.
Highway 16, So (aka Sidney Baker south)
Coming north over the bridge in front of the Rio Robles residential area, is a rather steep decline. Up to this point, the posted speed limit is 45, but it then becomes 35 mph. Unless one is driving under 35 mph before ascending the hill, it is almost impossible not to be going over the 35 mph at the bottom, so if they wanted, they could pull over 80% of the traffic at any given time.
One night, I saw at least six cars being ticketed- at that time, with more to come. Flashing lights were everywhere. What a feeding frenzy!
I-10 West bound
Mile Marker 509 coming down a hill, in curves. The cop car sits in the middle and you can’t see the cop until the last second. They mostly look at the west bound side but have seen them look at both sides.

My wife and I have gone 60 MPH on this road are so long, it doesn’t bother us anymore, but I see vehicles getting speeding tickets every time I drive into town, or back.
