Lakeport, Texas Speed Traps

This little gem is about 7 miles south of I-20 on State Highway’s 149 and 322. Goes from 65 to 50 just north of East Texas Regional Airport. Court fees fund a large majority of the budget in this little town. I know because I have to drive through it twice a day.

City police often sit in the church parking lot where you can’t see them.

On 322 just West of Gregg County Airport and north of 349 stoplight. Limit drops from 65 to 55. Cop in patrol car hides in “Duke’s Fish Shack”” parking lot. Looks like a parked car. No warnings issued.”
