Long View, Texas Speed Traps

The Texas DPS camps out here. The Speed limit drops to 55 on this 5 lane, rural section of highway. They are ticketing honest people who didn’t notice the sign on an interstate class, sparesly populated road. There are two lane undivided roads that connect to this road that are 65 mph. We rarely see them patroling the same road at it’s 65 mph sections (where people are driving sensibly just as in the 55 sections) Often two DPS ehicles work the area simultaneously. It’s been going on for two years and I finally got pulled over for doing 60! (I got a warning, because I was on the way to the hospitol; Father-in-law had a stroke)
