Lorena, Texas Speed Traps
IH-35 Exit 321/322
As noted below, the officer sits at the base of the hill and hopes to catch people as they slightly gain speed on the downhill side. This is clearly a racket – clearly a revenue source for a small town. Ticketed last week for going slightly over the limit – fine of $184, but reduced to $112 if a no contest plea is entered and defensive driving is taken. The "system" in this town is set up to minimize the number of people who appear in court – it counts on people just mailing in their shakedown money. Pathetic.

Doing a wonderful job officers!
Interstate 35
The Patrolman sits at the bottom of a down grade, on the shoulder. 70 MPH during daylight hours and 65 MPH during night. 1 MPH over the speed limit will result in a $180.00 ticket and if you contest it in their court the fine will increase to $200.00 and a $98.00 court fee. This can be verified by court records January 19,2007.
Interstate and Frontage Road
One car is pulled over as soon as the last one is released. The same officer has pulled several of my friends overand me & my husband twice. Not for speeding. When asked why you were stopped, it takes him a trip to his car and 5-10 minutes to respond. Car too dirty, wrong signal?, swerving inside your own lane, etc.
