McGregor, Texas Speed Traps

The McGregor cops troll back and forth and Highway 84 from the west to east city limits which is several miles. As noted in another post, the speed limits vary from 35 MPH to 70 MPH and the cops will hit you as they are coming toward you, or they will sit in a dark spot or turn lane.

Coming into town from the west, you will be hit by a cop who waits in the Brookshire’s parking lot, hidden behind a tree, facing west with the radar blasting. The limits go from 70, to 55, then down to 45, so watch out! Then the limit will go down to 35 near the main intersection in town.

Atleast one cop usually sits in the South Bosque Bank parking lot.

Mcgregor has an unusually lenghty city limits. Officers patrol US 84 heavily towards Waco. They run stationary radar at night in the turn lanes with their turn signal on to fool violators. Speed limits are from 35 to 70 eastbound from FM 317. Watch out. no mercy.
