Mount Enterprise, Texas Speed Traps

This small town has always been a speed trap. If you don’t slow down, you will be ticketed.

Drivers tend not to slow down going through Mt. Enterprise and the speed limts don’t seem too restrictive, but the way the fines are collected are troubling. I have not been ticketed but I know two that have. You get your ticket and visit the Justice of the Peace and you automatically get DEFERRED ADJUDICATION. That means you pay the fine and it the ticket never goes on your record. Very suspicious to me, wouldn’t you think?

I have traveled this stretch of highway many times, and let me tell you, there is always one cop waiting to write a ticket here. Best advice is to obey the decrease in speed and yes even down to the 35 mile per hour near the 1 intersection in the town.
