As stated above, these small town police like to catch anyone going over 55 especally just after dark. Watch the side access road and they don’t use their marker lights, completely blacked out! Must be the only way they stay paid!!!

Speed limit is 55. Five highway patrol officers live in this stretch. They like to patrol their own neighborhood and have no tolerance – any speed over 55 will get you stopped. This area has limited sight distance due to hills and they are always there.

Around Mt. Vernon. JP Court and State Police. Obvious revenue producer. I got stopped on the way to AR. Coming back saw one cop chasing someone, and another one had a second car pulled over.
