Plainview, Texas Speed Traps

Joliet St (.6 mile stretch) from Hwy 70/W. 5th St (where speed limit is 40-45mph) to S.W. 3rd St (where speed limit is 55mph) is one of the very few roads in the entire city where the speed limit is 30 mph. There are no businesses or residences to warrant the drop in speed; however, city police routinely sit on this street especially on Sunday mornings and stop sinners headed for church.
