Plano, Texas Speed Traps

DPS will pull you over for ANY infraction including not signaling when changing lanes. There seems to be a patrol car pulling someone over ALL the time.

Just about any time of the day there is a Plano Police car or MC parked at a T intersection, standing behind the fence checking speed. New construction at the intersection of Mcdermott has increased thier presence

Almost every morning there is a cop in an SUV with no lights facing East just west of Preston on Parker Road. The SUV is in the eastbound turn lane at Silver Creek. You won’t see them until you are practically on top of them so be careful crossing Preston on your way to the Tollway!

Northbound side of the Independence in a school zone. The cop sits in the church parking lot just north of Maumelle during afternoon school dismisal. The limit is 20 mph!

In the morning a motorcycle cop will sit on laurel lane watching for speeders in a school zone
