They are hiding off the side of the road hiding near a brushy area on your right and are waiting for you as you are ready to drive down the hill. This guy is slick.
Lockhill-Selma Road near 1604 Loop
Shavano Park PD patrolling Lockhill Selma just South of Loop 1604 on the north side. This is the area around Bentley Manor subdivision. The speed limit is 35, but it’s very easy to go much faster. Most people foolishly do. Don’t. I doubt they give much lee-way, if any.
De Zavala Road near NW Military Drive
The City of Shavano Park is an incorporated city within San Antonio, Tx city limits. They have a small police department. The posted speed limit is 35. This is a main thoroughfare between two major streets. As soon as you leave the City of Shavano Park, the speed limit changes to a reasonable 45 mph. I got my ticket at 6:45, well after the rush hour and there was no other cars on the road.
State Highway Military Hwy. near 1604 Loop
Saw 4 stopped at around 4:00 p.m. first 1 mile inside loop 1604 along Military Highway. Each pulled over vehicle had one cop behind ’em. Watch yourself on this road. It’s 45. You have to be insane to speed in Shavano anyway.
Lockhill-Selma Drive
Most people drive 50 on Lockhill-Selma, but it’s 35. It seems so slow for that road, but Shavano Park is there to enforce it. They’re often around Bentley Manor after work. Watch your speed on this road.
