Sugar Land, Texas Speed Traps
State Highway 6
Motorcycle Officer(s) will sit in the entrance to the Sugar Land Police Dept, using laser, mostly, to catch unsuspecting South bound motorists on Hwy 6 as they come over the new bridge transversing the levee on the North side of the P.D. Advantage is to the officers as there is traffic merging into the South bound lanes coming onto the bridge so the tendency for some motorists is to speed up to merge into the traffic.
Dulles Avenue
Motorcycle cop sits @ side of road w/laser gun. shooting @ oncoming traffic. next to the side entrance to the Oyster Creek park on Dulles right before the bridge.
Jess Pirtle Blvd.
There is a motorcylce cop that hides beyond a bridge in the median, right after Sugar Mill Elementry, he sits there everyday when the school lets out. If you feel you are in a rush anywhere between 2:30-4:00 don’t take this route, before you realize it he will pull you over, and you never see him until it’s too late.
US Highway 59
Driving north bound on US Hwy 59 (the exit at Hwy 6). When exiting motorcycle police 3 of them at a time in am to lunch. They sit on the corner next to the Marriott or across the street under the over pass. While in these two spots they are doing radar (mostly) but Also they will check for seatbelts and stickers as well.
Lexington Boulevard
Cop with Ka, hides backward in entrance of Oyster Point subdivision, at least 2x per week, shooting Ka backwards.. turns around if someone speeding by at least 5 mph.. 35mph PSL
