Webster, Texas Speed Traps
Egret Bay before Nasa rd 1
The road is a four lane highway. The bridge over part of clear lake obstructs your view. The sit at the base of the bridge most every day.
Bay Area Blvd near Bay Area Park
the speed limit ranges from 40 to 50, and there is a cop in two places. one is in the actual park, and the other is in a subdivision near it. one cop will use a laser to clock the speeding driver, and then another goes and catches them
I-45 Gulf Fwy (both directions) between FM 518 & Bay Area Bl
Webster Police sit on the median and shoulder and use binoculars & laser to catch speeders on the highway. Both Northbound and Southbound. Have also seen on several occasions that one will use laser to catch a speeder and another will actually stop the speeder.
Medical Center Boulevard near Sara Deel Street
There is a church school on at this intersection. The Constable’s office sits in one of the turning areas even when school is not in session. There are no flashing lights to let you know the school zone speed limits are in force and the print for the times of the school zone are too small to read. So pretty much go by the officers watch whether it is correct or not. I have been pulled over 5 minutes before the school zone is scheduled to start (by my watch and the clock on my cell phone).
Texas Avenue near Bay Area &Nasa Rd. 1 Boulevard
Texas Avenue has a speed limit of 30 miles per hour. All the surrounding streets are 35 – 40. The MPH signs are not easily seen and unsuspecting motorists get popped for assuming the speed limit is the same for all the streets around it.
