White Oak, Texas Speed Traps

Traveling East on Hwy 80, as you enter White Oak you round a curve. The local police park off the highway, on the grass, under the shade trees and you do not see them until it is too late. Always reduce speed going into White Oak.

The entire stretch of Center St is 30mph… Necessary to apply brakes down every hill. I tested the big hill just east of the school from a near standstill in neutral… reached 34mph at the bottom of the hill…

It’s A Trap.

And the church on the west side of center street… a cop likes to hide in the trees there… appears to be aiming for students getting out of school at the high school up the road.

Once you cross the bridge dividing Longview/White Oak… Be aware of the speed drops from 55 to 45 to 30… the 30mph zone is a smooth, wide two-lane that is easy to speed on. They will be watching.

White Oak road is watched at any time of day, so make sure you drive the posted speed limit.
