Albemarle, Virginia Speed Traps

Leaving Charlottesville on Highway 29 North, or entering the area on 29 S, the highway is marked by undulating hills – heavily populated by both local and state enforcement. Any speed over the posted limit is ticketed.

This is a school zone for three schools. Speed limit is 45 then changes during morning and afternoons to 25 for the school zone. Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office monitors this regularly.
