Botetourt County Deputies will sit in a side parking lot of Shooters gun store along Roanoke Road during the morning school hours (8 – 9 AM Mon-Fri). Speed limit is usually 45 but 25 during school hours. There is little bus traffic in this section so traffic will flow and people may ignore the reduced speed limit. Typically in a marked Crown Vic facing toward Northbound traffic heading to Fincastle. Targets 15+ over for sure and there may be more than one unit. Major frequency.
Interstate 81 near Mile Marker 132 to 162
Silver totally unmarked Impala, car has no antenna’s or visable lighting normally seen on police cars. Car stays in left lane dead on speed limit and when you pass on right he stops and writes you a ticket for speeding.
Interstate 81 near Exit Number 156
Cop stays on the left side of the on-ramp just past exit 156 in SW Virginia, north bound on I81. The prosecutor asks for mandatory jail time at 88 mph. Speed limit is 65, traffic moves at 79, 80 is always pulled over.
