Brunswick County, Virginia Speed Traps

the local police are using cars like the dodge intrepid to patrol county wide. you would be driving and pass a car you would think is a regular everyay car, and a sheriff’s deputy is sitting inside with a speed gun mounted on the dashboard. these patrol cars has no markings on them and the sirens are in the headlights and the back windshield. be careful!!! all they want is money.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department is targeting out-of-state cars for tickets. When I was stopped, I had to pull in behind a car from South Carolina and ahead of him was a car from Maryland. I’m from NC. The sheriff averted his eyes when I looked at him and asked if he was sure I was going 74 (in a 55 mph zone). This is a fundraiser for their county, no doubt!
