Covington, Virginia Speed Traps

Emergency vehicle turnaround. Alleghany County Sheriff must have nabbed my most recent ticket from this spot. Even if he didn’t, when I went to investigate the location on my ticket (mm14), I found this turnaround…and a Virginia State Police vehicle monitoring traffic.

Cop sits at the rest area to catch people who think they are close enough to the state line to speed up a little.

Alleghany Co. Sheriff loves this little area. Its nicely hidden and once your on top of him you dont have any time to slow down at all.

Right after a long straight stretch,going into a sweeping s curve,csets in the middle of the median.state trooper.

They sit at the bottom of the hill. When you pass through the stoplight at Madison Ave. and Carpenter Dr. coming down the hill Slow down its 25MPH and they sit down there usually late at night.
