Dahlgren, Virginia Speed Traps

They like to hide on the driveway of the Baptist Church by the woods. They have radar, and are well hidden, so by the time you see ’em, they’ve got you! There’s usually only one car, but once a couple of weeks ago my dad got nabbed at the same time as somebody northbound, so there must be 2 at least occasionally. My dad’s gotten nabbed a couple of times there. Strange that it’s so close to the other speed trap at the 218 intersection, though (they like to hide in the lot where the farmer’s market used to be). Maybe they’re using that money that they’re diverting away from schools to pay for more and ridiculously spaced speed traps as well as the war? I don’t know, just be careful there.

Deputy likes to hide by firehouse or rescue squad building watching for speeders leaving Dahlgren. At night deputy likes to hide by bank bank and catch speeders entering Dahlgren.

Deputy likes to hide at weighing station late night. Limit goes from 55 to 45.

County Deputy likes to hide behind either Fire Station or Rescue Squad between 4PM and 9PM weekdays. Catching speeders leaving work or drivers leaving local bars.

Also at night Deputy likes to hide at bank and catch speeders crossing 301 on 206 heading into Dahlgren.
