Front Royal, Virginia Speed Traps

Although this is a school zone with a flashing light during school hours,After school hours the speed has been 45 for many years,but recently dropped to 25.By the time you see the sign for 25 ,and slow down saftly you’ve already been radared for 20 over. The officer will tell you he’s doing you a favor by letting you off with 19 over,and you don’t have to go to court,you can send the money in without a court appearance.

Officers locate south of the shopping center.They work both the south and north bound traffic. Enforcement is ay time day or night.

They set a town cop car there in the median and sometimes it has a dummy in the car and sometimes it is a real cop. The speed trap cause they keep messing with the limit which right now is 25mph

Officers park on Shenandoah Ave. directly in front of All Smiles Dentistry, a block from Warren County Hospital.

US 522 north of Front Royal, between the shenandhoa north fork bridge and the intersections of i66. Troopers/sheriffs sit in the median across from the dump or more northward across from the McDonalds, and watch traffic either way. Take note, South in this area the speed limit is 25, from the Exxon all the way into town, **not** just at the posted 25 mph standing radar speed sign. And North bound in this same area is 45 mph. The lower southbound limit is to slow the speeds of people heading into the bridge construction.
