Manassas Park, Virginia Speed Traps
Euclid Avenue near Lapaz Court
I run RADAR at this location in the interest of keeping speed down between Osburn Pk HS and Manassas Park HS where the speed limit is a reasonable 25. This is also a residential area where I set up. LIDAR is used, as well by my peers.
Manassas Drive
Manassas Drive from Euclid Avenue to Lomand Drive (Prince Willman County) is 25MPH. All residential. I’m partial to RADAR, but my peers will use LIDAR and PACE your vehicle in mostly marked cars. This area is residential w/ a lot of kids in the area. Manassas/ Euclid to General Way/ Manassas is 35MPH- don’t make the mistake.
Manassas Drive near VRE Railroad
Marked Patrol cars sit in a commercial business driveway during rush hours and late night/early mornings on weekends. The speed limit was increased from 25-35mph not too long ago however, there is a tendency for drivers to go 45-50 because of the open stretch of road. It may be just me, but I often see young drivers get pulled over more often than others.
Manassas Drive
Marked Crown Vic or Explorers, sit in the side streets with the radar gun. Mostly rush hour, but they will do it anytime during the day AND night. The speed limit is 25 mph, but every one does 40 mph.
