Petersburg, Virginia Speed Traps
I-95 Northbound at I-85 interchange
City and State run radar in here everyday from morning till night looking for speeders, the speed limit is 55 mph, but the road goes down hill slightly once you start crossing over interstate 85, so its easy to go over 5 to 10 mph if you are not careful, they are mostly running it on the northbound side of the interstate. Watch your speed out of town and state drivers, and remember anything 10 mph in Virginia is reckless driving.
Wythe street near the old Seward luggage building
The speed limit is 25 all the way up. I’ve seen the police sitting in the parking lot on the right a little past Gill Street.
Prince George County, Rt. 460
When you come off the ramp from 295 onto 460 headed towards Ivor there is what appears to be a disabled SUV under the bridge. It isn’t,there is a cop in it shooting radar to catch you if you speed up coming off the ramp to merge into traffic.I merged and got in lane & slowed down for the light.I was observing the speed limit after I merged but must have sped up for 2 seconds to merge.Next thing I know lights are flashing in my rear view. This is a BS entrapment to extort money from everyone.Another cop who had just pulled over the guy in front of me had the balls to wave at me when he u-turned and pass me pulled over.I will go to court and at least make these A -Holes earn their extorted dollars
Johnson Rd Just before Richard Bland
Cop will sit in the little clearing for authorized veihicals that is hidden by a bunch of trees. Between 8am and 3pm it’s a school zone and the cops will hid right after the flashing 25 speed limit sign. Sometimes they’ll even sit in the parking lots too!
