Vienna, Virginia Speed Traps

Police on motorcycles part on Cynthia at the intersection of Cynthia and Beulah and always catch several people speeding down Beulah. Going 25 is a wise idea here to (between Wolf Trap Elementary and Glyndon Park) to avoid this particular speed trap.

The speed limit is extremely low on this road (25 mph) and a cop usually hides down one of the residential side streets, behind the leafy trees and houses on the corner. Always with a rader gun, they sometimes pull over 5 people and line them up to give them tickets, putting their violations on their windshield as the people wait to receive their tickets.

Officers tend to wait at the bottom of the hill on Lawyers Road, parked out on Holmes Drive.

Vienna PD will generally park behind a privately parked automobile and shoot radar as drivers descind down the hill on Old Courthouse Road.

Police get you coming down the hill on Maple Avenue, just after Courthouse Road going into Vienna proper. Seemed unfair as you don’t notice you’ve built up speed since you suddenly go downhill there.
