Windsor, Virginia Speed Traps
50 East blvd
Hwy goes from 55, to 45, then to 35. It is too easy for the police to sit behind a sign and nab someone. Should you be speeding….no. However the Hwy has numerous amounts of semi trucks that block the right lane. If you don’t see the sign then your out $200 and the police are laughing all the way to the bank! Signs need to be flashing and more of them.
New!!! New!! Corner of Court and Windsor Blvd.
Mainly waiting for you after dark behind the church sign and they’ve hit four folks already today.
route 460 east and west thru town
a real success story here..a nice quiet and friendly town on a major highway for the time being.. a major by pass is in the plans..town hired a police officer to mainly check on several small stores and gas stations when closed late at night.. sort of a night watchman type position.. but they found a source of un tapped revenue by setting up speed limit zones and copying waverly VA. and the infamous emporia VA speed revenue enforcement officers actions..it was such a success they hired a second then a third officer.. they have had a hard time keeping officers mainly poor pay and if a person wants to do police work it’s not what the town wants these positions are for revenue enhancement officers not police officers..if the bypass is built Windsor will become another dried up small town..
North Court Street
Coming from 258, coming into Windsor onto N. Court Street, in less than 100 yards you will go from 35 to 25 and Barney Phyfe sits right inside the 25 sign.
Church Street area
