Asotin, Washington Speed Traps

Going south into Asotin on State 129, the speed limit changes ubruptly from 55 to 35, then again a short distance later to 25. Warnings are not given, just tickets. The cops hide by the water treatment plant on the east side of the street, and a private business lot on the west side. Asotin is the county seat, so you have county and city cops waiting for you. Also, at the start of High school baseball season in late Feb or early March, the cops patrol and hide on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd streets between the school and ball park. Beware of the female cop, she has No Mercy! 6/2008

The city needs to generate revenue to pay the cops wages, so you will now see cops either parked at the North entrance to the city or parked accross the street from the Asotin Market. Second street is the main drag through town, it is also a school zone. Beware!
