Bremerton, Washington Speed Traps
Kitsap Way near Between the Red Apple Market and Oyster Bay Road
Police hang out on Oyster Bay right up the street from the light. Also behind the large cemetery sign coming down the hill from the Red Apple Market.
State Highway 16 near After Loxie Egans Exit
There is usually an officer with radar standing on the side of the freeway near the sewer plant. This is also a "construction zone" (double fine zone). However, in the 10 years I’ve lived here, never ever at any time of day have I seen any construction going on.
Kitsap Way near National Avenue
Between National Ave. and the Kitsap Lake turn off across from the Red Apple, they have several locations where them "coppers" like to sit and pounce on unsuspecting speeders. (Not me because I’m too sly for them) This isn’t something new. It’s been happening for at least 10 years.
The locations are kind of across from the Chevron where they like to sell used cars in that dirt lot. At both ends of the Cemetery. By the entrance to that little park on top of the hill by the cemetery. And before you get to the Red Apple where the "Lakeshore Inn" used to be in that empty parking lot.
Sooo Beware! You have been warned!
State Route 3 near Kitsap Way
Traveling towards Bremerton from Silverdale, posted limit of 60 slows down to 50 as you round a corner approaching the Kitsap Way exit. Traffic routinely continues at 60, but there is often an officer on the overpass with a radar gun.
Burwell Street near Warren Avenue
One police officer at the bottom of the long hill clocks motorists. When they reach the bottom of the hill, the officer directs each offender to the parking lot on the right where many more officers are waiting to issue tickets. Speed limit 25 but you can easily reach 45 if you don’t stay on your brakes.
