Cheney, Washington Speed Traps

Residents often complain about speeding drivers on Simpson Pkwy, so every once in a while the Police set up a speed trap here to catch the drivers going over the 35mph limit.

On the left directly before the Pence Union Building there is a cop waiting for someone exceeding the posted 20. This one is heavily watched while students are crossing at 10th, but is still enforced regularly during off times. This one is a very popular speeding area due to the steep hill (trying to get momentum going up or trying to slow down while going down).

Right after Four Lakes going towards Cheney (where the speed limit is 40) there is normally a cop on one of the side roads/driveways on the right directly before the speed limit increase sign to 55. Make sure to not exceed 40 before the sign.

just after you get into spokane county really watch out about 5 miles before you get to cheney. the wsp will sit on overpasses and sometimes have their aircraft out. i have seen the aircraft and its a dark grey. keep an eye on the sky and you might spot him.
