Mountlake Terrace, Washington Speed Traps

Directly beneath the 236th st overpass, just after exit 178 going northbound in the median between a wall on the left side and the supports of the overpass, and going southbound on the left side of the road behind the overpass at exit 177, I see a WSP trooper hanging out often. He checks both directions and it’s a great vantage point to get northbounders, as usual, you can’t see him till you’re within 50ft of his car. I see northbound enforced during the middle of the day and southbound at night.

As 236th goes past Ballinger Lake, you also pass a series of condos/apartments. There’s a cop hiding behind one of the apartment signs as you get closer to the freeway bridge/entrance. I’ve even seen multiple traffic cars pulling people over here. Speed limit is posted as 25mph, but traffic generally moves at 30mph.

They’re sitting right before the hill, and before the park (if you’re going South) on a sidestreet.
