Shoreline, Washington Speed Traps

Police sits about 300 feet east of 3rd ave nw on the south side of the street. Aims radar at westbound traffic as the start downhill from Palatine Ave N. Typically a silver unmarked car. There are more traffic police in Shoreline that any other community in western washington and applicants must past a test to show aggressiveness in order to get on the Shoreline force and it shows in their behaviour.

For three weeks five Shoreline cops have been sitting hiding behind the hedges pulling over every other driver that goes 3 miles over the limit on this wide-open, little-travelled road. It must be budget crunch time for these cops who run this giant speed trap of a town.
