Soap Lake, Washington Speed Traps
End of town
Cop sits close to end of town where the speed changes from 30 to 45. One horse town that needs tourism and this is the thanks I get. Avoid this town.

I have been informed by relatives living in close proximity to Soap Lake that there are two patrol cars at each end of town, however these cars are maned only by "dummmies," that’s right a couple of mannequins!
I have routinely traveled at speeds well over 40mph through this town and have never been pulled over or ever even seen an actual living breathing officer.
It seems the dummies are being used for "radar" work so the officers don’t have to. I have also heard they can usually be found within the confines of their office especially at night! Good luck and safe driving!

Pass through this town and your speed will be measured at least twice by officers sitting at each end of the main street (Daisey St), that’s 4th AVE NE and again at 5th AVE SE. The speed limit is 25 MPH and is precluded by rapidly decreasing speed signage. In the center of town, make note of officers harassing travelers. I didn’t get a ticket coming through but I would avoid this town like the plague. I saw five patrol cars in less than a 1/4 mile, twice passing through this town. I realize this is the biggest drug run between Canada and the Tri-Cities but this behaviour is ridiculous. I imagine any excuse will be made to stop any vehicle that draws attention.
