South Bend, Washington Speed Traps
South of South Bend Washington
Speed goes from 55 to 30 real fast so watch for signs..Especially if your an out of towner..
South Bend, Washington
After coming around a curve going 40 mph I could see the town about a 1/2 mile ahead so I slowed to 25mph. (the speed changed from 55 to 30) Obviously it was not my intention to speed but I got a ticket for going 40 for about 100 feet..Don’t spend a dime in a town like this…
South Bend Highway 101
This area from Raymond to outside South Bend, 5-6 miles is heavily patroled & is set up to generate REVENUE, 2 miles or 3 mph over will get you a ticket that says 5-10. My sister got a ticket from the State Patrol by speeding up 100 ft. before the 50 mph sign. Take no chances, be cautious going through this area. I suspect that South Bend issues more citations than most towns this size.
Old Southbend-Raymond Rd & Buchanan St
there are two very young cops in South Bend. One in particular is arrogant.. no professioalism shown at all. If you are stopped in any trap by Jason Capps you bought a ticket. Be sure you are on the speed limittill you clear South Bend.
State Highway 101 near Ilwaco to Southbend
Between Ilwaco & South Bend on Hwy. 101 the speed limit is mostly 55. We received a ticket by the highway patrol for 65 in the 55 zone. In watching the area after getting the ticket, & setting the cruise at 55, many people with Washington plates passed us like we were sitting still. Also, not slowing for any of the highway patrols of which 3 more were sitting on the side of the road. If you have an out of state plate beware, they will get you. This highway is hot with patrol cars. Worst I have seen any place we have been.
