Yakima, Washington Speed Traps
S. 6th street at E. beech st.
Yakima city police car sitting near intersection facing east just before S. 6th st. Very difficult to see from distance. Also is where school zone starts going southbound sometimes with motorcycle officers present. Speed limit is 30 mph.
Pacific Ave. at Yakima speedway.
Yakima police car sitting in the Yakima speedway parking lot north side of street. A supreme hiding spot. Speed limit is 30 mph which seems artificially low for that road which is easy to exceed.
Hwy 24 WB going towards Kmart
Going from a 55mph speed limit to a 35mph sign in less than 500 feet in my opinion is a speed trap as there are WSP usually in the median at the light almost a 1/2 mi away.
Summitview & 88th Ave.
There’s a sheriff that frequently sits on the south side of the road at a church just to the east of the intersection Summitview & 88th Ave.
ALL of 72nd Avenue from Summitview to Washington
Motorcycle cops and cop cars are hidden. They are there in the morning when it is a school zone (he hides on Spokane street) daily and then any side street off of 72nd Avenue in the afternoon and evening.
They WILL write a ticket every time!
