Algoma, Wisconsin Speed Traps

As you come into town from the north on County Road S the speed limit changes to 35. As you go north through the city, taking County Road S to Sturgeon Bay, the speed limit is 25, then 35 before 55. In the 35 mph speed limit the police are parked on the west side of the road in a curve that you can’t see until you get there.

Cop parks on northbound side of street amoungst cars parked for the tourist info building. The speed limit outside of town is 55 and quickly drops to 25. Cops love to stop tourist on their way to Door County. Odds of a ticket double if you have Illinois plates.
