Big Bend, Wisconsin Speed Traps
hwy 164 (Big Bend Drive)
driving south on hwy 164 (Big Bend Drive) near Guthrie Road the speed zone changes from 45 to 30 at the bottom of a hill as you enter the village
hwy 164
The police chief, has a reputation of being Barney from Mayberry, He speeds crosses center line, does not use turn signals, but attacks local residents for going 4 miles over the speed limit, crossing center to avoid a pot hole, and not using a turn signal soon enough. Big Bend is only a mile or so and they have six officer with several nice new suv’s and the village is broke, so watch out he is on the hunt to ticket you for what ever can find, very unprofessional, so take your business else were!!!!
Hwy. ES and 164
Cops like to sit in the dark by the Stein Gardens and Gifts, catching people coming in on ES, up to the 164 intersection. It’s 35 mph ( I always thought it was a 45, but I guess not, and it makes no sense; there’s no housing/very few businesses there).
Edgewood Avenue near Janesville Avenue
25mph speed zone which is absolutely outragious. Police sit on the side road where you cannot see them. Only 25mph is hard to maintain and you will get pulled over going 2 miles over.
