Blue Mounds, Wisconsin Speed Traps
Blue Mounds Village
Cited for 55 within a 40 mph zone. However, we pulled over after the 55 mph sign outside of the village. Judge nevertheless ruled against me – you explain the logic (er, revenue for this fine little village). This is a village with a long history of pursuing drivers, even those coming right off the highway to trap them.

Blue Mounds finest routinely patrols this strip, past Barneveld and before Blue Mounds. The key is that they have to catch you Within the Blue Mounds Town limits or the ticket is not valid.
Often the officer will claim he clocked you in the limits, when it was clear he could not have.
I was recently clocked supposedly doing "88" (it’s a 55 zone) when my cruise was set for "80" and I had a car next to me while I was in the passing lane.
The officer came over a rise outside of town, supposedly clocked me as we converged, and then drove past me, turned around on the median, and then pulled me over in Blue Mounds.
The only upside is that the local DA is reasonable but don’t get busted here regardless and, if you do, make sure you take a photo with your cell phone of where you are when the officer sees you.
Good luck.
