Boyd, Wisconsin Speed Traps

radar speed monitoring done almost daily. Within 1 mile of Boyd exit the speed drops from 70 to 65 so tickets for people going east who didn’t notice the reduction or people who increase speed too soon going west.

Boyd village cop sits at on-ramp to 29 facing going away traffic. This is opposite oncoming traffic which is impossible to see him on back side of overpass. This is 4 lanes with a 65 mph speed limit. Clocks speeders from rear and chases them down, sometimes for 3 or 4 miles. Only about 1 mile passes through Boyd. He cases miles past his jurisdiction. It was admitted by village clerk they do it to pad their coffers. Personally have seen this several times.
