Fall Creek, Wisconsin Speed Traps
County Highway D east of US 12
The speed limit here changes abruptly from 55 to 30 with substantially less than one tenth of a mile between the "Reduced Speed Ahead" advisory and the actual 30 mph speed sign. This is a non-pedestrian area, with only two intersections, both of which are dead-end streets generating very little conflicting traffic. A reasonable person would drive safely at 45 mph in this area. The local officers sit in the school bus barn parking lot, monitoring traffic in both directions, often during hours of darkness when traffic is at its lightest and the squad car is hardest to see.
