Francis Creek, Wisconsin Speed Traps
W Hillcrest Rd & I- 43
Watch out. The WI State Patrol and Manitowoc County Sheriff love to sit on the ramps facing both north and southbound and take radar and laser reading of N and S going traffic.
County Trunk R near Oakwood Drive
Police Officer Sits at the top of the hill on the left (west) side of the road as you are heading north on Cty R out of Francis Creek. The stated speed limit is 35 MPH which is somewhat deceiving as it is 35 MPH for quite awhile out of town.
Interstate 43 near Hillcrest Road
When heading nrth on I-43 from manitowoc, you may or may not see the police officer on top of the over pass, if you see him, you must beware of the three cruisers sitting in the interstate turnaround that is just around the corner. many times they will have you speed from the police officer on the top of the overpass, and he can catch you at a 1/4 mile away. if you are coming south and catch it, like i did, you are in the clear, because the cruisers are parked so close together that they could not come after you. beware if going north though. this is in effect over most of the summer and fall, and mostly fridat mid-moring to mid afternoon
I 43 heading north to Green Bay – North Bound On Ramp – Is a decline – car with mounted radar
