Genoa City, Wisconsin Speed Traps
north end of town–between bridge and park–county h
speed coming into town[heading south] 25 mph and speed going north35 mph going north out of town.
State Highway 12
Hwy 12 from Genoa City entrance ramp, all the way to Lake Geneva there is always officers either patroling, or stationary radar enforcement.
I drive on there every day for work and I have seen Sate, Walworth county, Bloomfield and Genoa City cops all have someone pulled over in that 10 mile stretch!
Genoa City LOVES to sit right after the speed limit drops from 65 to 55 about a quarter mile from the exit ramp.
Highway 12 1/2 mile north of state line
Generally on weekends after dark the cops sit in the no u turn area in the center of the highway about 100 feet from the 45 mph sign. If you are 1 mph over, you will get a ticket from the Genoa City cops. This area also patroled by county and state police.
Just 1/2 mile south at the beginning of the divided highway, the GC cops nail streams of people doing over 30 mph on the entrance ramp to the 45 mph divided highway. The GC cops literally loop around this stretch on weekends nailing literally dozens of people.
