Hartland, Wisconsin Speed Traps
Hwy KE just east of Hwy E
Motorcycle police sitting under tree in shade in the parking lot of the Little Red School House. Speed is 45 on a country road.
Hwy 83 & Capitol Dr across from pick-n-save
Cops will always hide on Capitol Drive & 83, across the street from Pick-n-Save & just West of Hwy 16. They sit on the curve, 10 feet away from the intersection on Capitol & monitor traffic on Hwy 83. About 100 feet before the light, the speed changes from 45mph to 35mph. They will get you.
Hill Street & Palmer
I live in Summit Lake & take the back way to Hwy 16. I always see cops on Hill Street. The speed limit is 25. They’ll be in an unmarked car, parked in between 2 other cars. I also always see them at the corner of Palmer & Capitol. If you’re coming from Hill street, there is a big curve & the trees/bushes block your view until you come around the curve. It’s easy to speed on that road, but it’s a 25mph zone. As soon as you round that curve, they’ll get you. You won’t even have time to apply the breaks.
Merton Avenue near County Trunk K
Officers pull to the far right side of northbound Merton Av. and monitor southbound traffic. The speed limit makes a sudden change from 35 mph to 25 mph without warnning. Note: at one point as you are traveling southbound, there are two speed limit signs (35 and 25) visable at the same time.
